New Balance XC-72 “Triple White”

The XC-72 from New Balance dares design clearly out of the window.
The front part in particular will draw a few glances:
the side view of the cleated sole and the gently sloping upper line
is reminiscent of a blue whale’s head. The back is characterized by
an angular sole that flares out to the sides and back and a laminated heel clip.
When viewed from above, the low-top sneaker looks very long and narrow,
which is also due to the longitudinal arrangement of the suede side covers.
Even the branded N on the sides is individually shaped and does not immediately
identify the shoe as a New Balance model.
